Introduction

La Louisiane is not a palace or a 5-star hotel, but a historical and picturesque hotel, unstarred and without frills, clean and tidy, equipped with necessary amenities for travelers, which include elevators, safes, bath towels, WiFi access, a kettle with tea and coffee, mini-fridge, etc. The rooms are simple, but all benefit from quality bedding.

Since 1823, the hotel has been frequented by travelers from over 120 countries who appreciate its character and ideal location in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the most coveted district of the capital.

Our promise is to provide you with a unique experience in the heart of historical Paris, the city of art and festivities, lively both day and night, but well-secured by the police, just 5 minutes' walk from the Pont des Arts facing the Louvre Museum, the banks of the Seine, and the grand Jardin du Luxembourg.

To do this, we offer one of the best value-for-money accommodations to stay in the center of Paris, in an authentic ambiance within a family-run, independent hotel, easily accessible from train stations and airports.

Preamble

The general terms and the internal regulations of Hôtel La Louisiane (hereinafter the Hotel) form a set that any reservation implies full and complete acceptance of. Under these conditions, the customer (hereinafter the Client) accepts and undertakes to comply with this set, which applies both to them and to any occupant under their responsibility. Any resident of the Hotel will be considered a Client for the application of these provisions, even if their reservation was made through an online booking platform, a travel agency, or any other intermediary.

1. Types of rooms, meeting rooms

The Hotel offers private rooms, each with its own bathroom. The beds are 2 meters long. The rooms are of the following types: Single (1 person); Classic Double or Superior Double with a large bed or Twin with 2 single beds (up to 2 people); Triple (up to 3 people); Quadruple (up to 4 people); Quintuple (up to 5 people) – and Suites with 2 connecting rooms with several single and/or double beds (for 1 to 6 people). The Hotel's capacity is around 100 travelers. The Hotel also offers meeting rooms for rent (approximately 40 to 70m2), subject to availability.

2. Check-in and registration documents

The Hotel requires the Client to accurately complete a registration form. Additionally, based on the Hotel's legitimate interest in ensuring the security of property and people, the payment of its service, and preventing any identity theft incidents, the Hotel requires all persons registering to present or submit proof of identity (national ID card, passport, residence card, etc.), of which the Hotel will make a copy. If the Client does not provide these documents, the Hotel reserves the right to refuse their room reservation request.

The Hotel reserves the right to deny access to individuals: 1. whose attire is indecent or extremely unkempt; 2. whose clothing is intended to conceal their face (Law n°2010-1192 of October 11, 2010); 3. exhibiting loud, inappropriate, or disruptive behavior that is contrary to public order or good manners, intoxicated or physically or verbally aggressive; 4. violating hygiene regulations; 5. making or spreading defamatory statements against the Hotel or its brand; 6. bringing in an excessive amount of luggage; 7. causing disturbances for the Hotel, its staff, or other Clients; 8. leaving unpaid bills at the Hotel; 9. refusing to complete the registration form; 10. refusing to follow check-in procedures; 11. and more generally, refusing to comply with the terms of these regulations. The Hotel is not accessible to wheelchair users due to the narrow width of certain corridors and hallways, nor to those who do not have sufficient autonomy.

3. Access to the Hotel and rooms & security

Rooms are available from 5:00 PM, and the Client cannot demand to occupy the room before this time unless agreed upon by the Hotel. Proof of identity will be requested from all room occupants, and copies may be made. An access card to the room will be issued to the Client upon arrival (check-in).

Rooms must be vacated before 10:00 AM on the day of departure. If departure is delayed beyond this time, the Client will be charged for an additional night. If the Client wishes to keep their room for an additional night, payment must be made before 10:00 AM, subject to availability and the Hotel's agreement. Once check-out has been completed and the access card returned, the Client will no longer have access to the room they occupied. Additionally, each room is reserved for a specific number of people: for the safety regulations of the Hotel, the Client must not accommodate any additional people.

4. Reservation

The Hotel reserves the right not to accept any reservation request for: 1. a stay of fewer than two (2) nights; 2. more than eight (8) people; 3. dates more than thirty (30) days in advance. Minors not accompanied by a person with parental authority must present authorization and a release of responsibility from the person with parental authority, accompanied by a copy of their ID. A reservation commits the Hotel to the requested room type, but not to a specific room identified by its number, location in the building, or particular characteristics unless previously agreed upon by the Hotel. Additionally, at any time, the Hotel reserves the right to: 1. split a reservation into multiple rooms during the stay without changing the agreed price; 2. assign Clients – at the agreed price – a room of a higher category than the one initially reserved; 3. ask a Client during their stay to move to another room of the same or higher type. Any reservation request that has not been confirmed by an effective payment, partial or full, does not bind the Hotel, which remains free to ignore it.

5. Photos and videos of the Hotel

On the Internet, any photo, image, or video representing the Hotel is deemed non-contractual, even if associated with an advertisement viewed during the reservation process.

6. Prices

The prices offered initially include one or more rooms. Any additional room requested will be rented at the current rate. The rates published on the Hotel's platforms are indicative. The Hotel reserves the right to increase its prices on public holidays, during major events in Paris, as well as on weekends and vacation periods.

7. Payment for the stay

Full payment for a stay must be made in euros (€) no later than check-in upon arrival at the Hotel. With the prior agreement of the Hotel, the Client may make the payment in a currency other than the Euro, based on the exchange rate of the previous month established by the Banque de France. However, in this case, the prices of the services will be increased by ten percent (10%). If full payment is not made, the Hotel reserves the right to cancel the reservation in its entirety. Checks (including holiday checks and gift checks) are not accepted.

8. Cancellation

To be confirmed, a reservation must be paid at least fifty percent (50%) of the agreed price for the stay as a deposit.

Any cancellation made at least eight (8) days before 5:00 PM on the scheduled arrival day will convert the amount already paid into a credit for another stay at the Hotel. Any cancellation less than eight days and more than three days (72 hours) before arrival will reduce the credit by half. Any cancellation less than 72 hours before arrival will not be refunded or credited.

9. Non-payment

Any failure to pay will result in a fixed compensation for recovery costs, set by decree at 40 € (Decree n° 2012-1115 of 02/10/2012), as well as late payment penalties equal to three (3) times the legal interest rate applied to the amount inclusive of all taxes (TTC).

These late penalties are payable without the need for a reminder.

10. Room occupancy

All reservations are nominative and cannot be transferred to a third party, either free of charge or for a fee. If a Client wishes for other people to use a room, they must complete their reservation and make an additional payment before these people can access the room(s).

11. Access card

The room access card is issued personally. Any disappearance or loss must be reported immediately to the Hotel reception. This card must not be entrusted to a third party and must be returned upon departure. Any card not returned at the end of the stay will be charged fifty euros (€50) per card.

12. Video surveillance

The Hotel is under video surveillance in compliance with current laws. (Article L251-1 to L255-2 and R251-1 to R253-4 of the Code of Internal Security).

13. Pets

In general, pets are not allowed, except with the express authorization of the Hotel. To obtain this, the Client must have provided a precise description of the animal at the time of the reservation request. The Hotel reserves the right to refuse such authorization. Additionally, a pet's stay may incur an additional charge. Guide dogs for the visually impaired and assistance dogs are accepted free of charge.

14. Use of services

15. Noise disturbances

The usual tranquility of the premises must be respected, and Clients agree not to be noisy in the rooms or common areas, including hallways and staircases, especially at night between 10:00 PM and 9:00 AM.

Any noise disturbance caused by a person or object under their responsibility (portable HiFi speaker, megaphone, horn, musical instruments, etc.) may result in their exclusion from the Hotel if the noise disturbs the peace of other guests.

16. Prohibitions

It is strictly forbidden to smoke within the Hotel premises, including in the rooms, except on balconies of rooms equipped with them.

Under public health law, smoking in the Hotel exposes the Client to a fine and legal proceedings.

17. Room cleaning

Housekeeping services clean between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Daily room cleaning is included in the price, but an additional charge may be applied in case of excessive dirt or stains. The Client agrees that the Hotel staff may enter the room to clean and refresh linens and consumable items unless the Client present in the room refuses or informs the receptionist in advance. However, cleaning cannot be refused for more than five (5) consecutive days.

18. Responsibility

The Client agrees to: 1. use the rooms and common areas reasonably; 2. comply with safety instructions in case of an emergency according to applicable regulations; 3. take care of the room and common areas and avoid excessive dirt or damage – whether intentional or by negligence – especially after consuming food and drinks, tobacco, etc.

19. Data processing

The Hotel processes the personal data of its Clients in compliance with applicable laws. Data is not shared, exchanged, sold, or rented to third parties without the Client's express and prior consent, in accordance with legal and regulatory provisions.

20. Violation of these provisions, Competent Court, and Applicable Law

In case of violation of these rules, the Hotel may immediately require the Client and any person sharing their stay to leave the premises.

In case of a dispute, French law applies, and the courts of Paris have exclusive jurisdiction. The original French version of these terms will prevail over any translation.
